Pledge of Excellence
At Pine Medical Center, each and every staff member takes this Pledge of Excellence.
Hospitality: We are a welcoming community built on openness, kindness, and compassion.
- I will walk visitors to their destination.
- I will treat everyone (including patients, residents, visitors, and co-workers) as a customer by satisfactorily responding to and meeting their needs.
- I will exceed our customers' expectations
- I will go above and beyond traditional duties by providing the "little things" that our patients/residents remember.

- I will identify myself when calling other departments.
- I will immediately acknowledge an unanswered call light by entering the room stating who I am and asking, "How may I help you?" If I cannot fulfill the request, I will seek out the appropriate caregiver.
- I will leave the patient/resident room asking, "Is there anything else I can do for you? I have the time" and follow through with requests.
- I will respect individual privacy and discuss patient, resident, co-worker, and physician related issues on a need-to-know basis and only in private.
- I will keep patients and their families comfortable and informed. I will update them periodically and apologize for any delays.
