Cardiac Rehabilitation
At Pine Medical Center, we offer Cardiac Phase 2 outpatient rehabilitation if you've had a heart attack, cardiac surgery, a heart-lung transplant or other heart-related problems. This therapy is intended to help you continue to recover and improve your habits after you've been discharged from the hospital.
Our rehabilitation program is available to patients who've received a prescription from their physicians, even if they were hospitalized elsewhere. We provide the service at Pine Medical Center so members of our community can be close to home during the rehab, which can be up to 12 weeks long.
The program includes exercise, stress management, smoking cessation, diet, lifestyle modification and home exercise. You will come to the program several times a week. During exercise we will monitor your heart rate and blood pressure. Our exercise equipment includes a seated stair-stepper called Nustep and a new SciFi recumbent bike for exercising both arms and legs.
We also offer cardiac stress tests for patients whose doctors have ordered that test.
